Spinach and Strawberry SaladSpinach and Strawberry Salad

Serves: 4

Preparation time: 10 minutes
 

Make it a picnic meal: Serve with a chicken salad sandwich, yogurt and water.
 

Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cups
  • Medium bowl
  • Serving plate

 

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of fresh spinach (or 1 bag of packaged spinach)
  • 2½ tablespoons white vinegar
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup strawberries

 

Preparation

  1. Wash hands and surfaces.
  2. Wash and dry spinach and strawberries (if fresh). Slice strawberries.
  3. Stir sugar and vinegar together. Then stir in oil and salt to make dressing.
  4. Put spinach and strawberries in a bowl.
  5. Add dressing and combine.

 

Use an insulated container to keep food at desired temperature up to 2 hours when bringing food for lunch, potlucks or picnics.
