Spinach and Strawberry
Salad
Serves: 4
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Make it a picnic meal: Serve with a chicken salad sandwich,
yogurt and water.
Equipment
- Cutting board
- Sharp knife
- Measuring spoons
- Measuring cups
- Medium bowl
- Serving plate
Ingredients
- 1 bunch of fresh spinach (or 1 bag of packaged spinach)
- 2½ tablespoons white vinegar
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup strawberries
Preparation
- Wash hands and surfaces.
- Wash and dry spinach and strawberries (if fresh). Slice strawberries.
- Stir sugar and vinegar together. Then stir in oil and salt to make dressing.
- Put spinach and strawberries in a bowl.
- Add dressing and combine.
Use an insulated container to keep food at desired temperature up to 2 hours when bringing food for lunch, potlucks or picnics.
