A University of Missouri Extension webpage (http://extension.missouri.edu/tornado) contains resources that could be helpful to homeowners, landowners, business owners, emergency responders, volunteers, partnering organizations and others with an interest in the tornadoes that have devastated many cities this season and the response that is underway.
The content — publications and news articles as well as a list of contacts and timely information from MU Extension relevant to the recovery process — is being updated and added to on a regular basis.
News stories relevant to the recovery underway specifically in Joplin are also going to be posted online at http://bit.ly/SWRegionNews.
MU Extension is working to provide resources to the media and others and will make its expertise and education available as communities, businesses, families and farms work on recovery. MU Extension is part of the Governor’s Disaster Recovery Partnership and works with the State Emergency Management Agency and other organizations to assist in facilitation and coordination.
