Parenting Teenagers
Parents of teenagers can become more effective parents when they
understand the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive
changes that take place during adolescence.
In this workshop, parents will:
- Discuss the developmental changes that occur during adolescence.
- Explore issues that may cause conflict between teenagers and parents.
- Practice effective communication techniques for developing better relationships with adolescents.
This workshop was developed by Susan Pickle, former Human
Development Regional Specialist.
This page briefly describes one of many programs offered through
University of Missouri Extension. Workshops are scheduled
periodically based on the needs and interests expressed by
local citizens. Not all of these workshops are available in
every county, and specialists may present additional
workshops that cover topics not included on this list.
Contact your
nearest Extension Regional Specialist for more
information about the programs that are available in your
area
