Building Strong Families
Helps families find their strengths, build on those strengths, and learn skills to improve relationships and increase communication.
Family Impact Center
Provides life-long education to improve the quality of life for individuals in the Columbia community. The Family Impact Center aims to bring University of Missouri programs to central Columbia in order to reach unmet needs in the community.
Helps divorced and separated parents learn how to support their children through the divorce process and how to work together in co-parenting their children. FOK satisfies the Missouri law that requires parents who are divorcing or filing a motion to modify the original divorce decree to attend an educational parenting program. It is conducted in cooperation with Missouri’s circuit courts. The Focus on Kids online program is also now available for parents who are not able to attend classes in person.
The Ounce of Prevention: Addressing Health Issues of Adolescents and Young Adults program provides education to teachers and youth workers in the areas of prevention of dating violence, teen pregnancy, birth defects and STDs. This program also teaches healthy relationship skills.
Provides marriage education and relationship skills training.
Relatives as Parents
Provides education for relative caregivers. Topics included may range from parenting and relationship building to financial and legal issues.

Parents Without Partners
