Home Energy Conservation:Saving Energy in Missouri Homes |

Program Description:
This workshop informs homeowners where their home’s energy is
consumed and ways to audit any energy losses. Energy saving methods
will be introduced and include low, moderate, and significant initial-cost
methods. Instructions will be given on how to calculate the savings
added from adding energy saving measures. Included in this session
will be "landscaping for energy savings", learn how to use landscaping
in your yard to cut down energy costs. The workshop includes handouts
as well as a kit to assist you in doing an energy audit of your
home.
Target Audience:
Any homeowner interested saving money on their utility bills.
Outcomes/Anticipated Outcomes:
Homeowners will gain knowledge of how energy is consumed in their
household. Informed decisions can be made after the workshop on
what methods should be applied in each homeowner’s household to
conserve energy use.
