Easy CornbreadEasy Cornbread

Yield: 6 servings (1/6 slice)

 

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1½ cups buttermilk

 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 425. Lightly grease 8-inch pan.
  • In a large bowl mix together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • In another bowl mix eggs, buttermilk and butter.
  • Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir until there are no dry spots.
  • Pour into pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
