Whole Wheat Banana BreadWhole Wheat Banana Bread

Yield: 4 servings



  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • teaspoon salt
  • cup canola oil
  • cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cups mashed banana
  • 1/3 cup lowfat buttermilk



  1. Combine first four ingredients in a bowl and set aside. In another bowl, combine oil, egg, sugar, bananas, and buttermilk.
  2. Add dry ingredients and mix just until ingredients are combined. Pour batter into a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan.
  3. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing cake from pan.
