What are the trends in the numbers of Hispanics living in Missouri?
In Missouri, Hispanics make up the second largest minority population. The number of immigrants in Missouri from Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean had an 89% increase from 1990 to 2000 (63,000 in 1990 to 119,000 in 2000). The number of counties reporting more than 1,000 Hispanics went from nine in 1990 to 20 in 2000.
