Any tips on making store returns a little easier?
Many shoppers falsely believe stores must offer refunds.
However, there is no state law on refund or layaway
policies. Stores set their own policies and may offer a cash
refund, credit, exchange, or nothing. If a store does not
post its policy, it is your responsibility to ask.
Also, there is no state law that allows you to cancel an
order with a retailer and expect a partial or full refund of
money. Before you put money down or sign a contract, find
out what a store's policy is.
