How often should I oil the gasket on my pressure canner?
Gaskets on older models may need a light coat of
vegetable oil once a year. Gaskets on newer models are
pre-lubricated and don't need oiling. Check your
instruction manual if you are in doubt about how often
to oil the gasket.
