Is it necessary to rewrap meats purchased at the grocery store before freezing?
Purchased meats should be rewrapped before freezing to
protect from freezer burn. The original packaging
material is not moisture-vapor-proof.
Note: If you do not rewrap meat, use it within 2 weeks.
