Quick Answers

How do I freeze chops and steaks?

Trim away excess fat. Wipe meat with a clean, damp cloth. Package the number of chops or steaks needed for one meal in sheet wrapping. Put a double layer of wrapping between individual pieces. Press outer sheet wrapping close to the bundle of meat to expel air. Use either the butcher wrap or drugstore fold. Label and freeze.

Refer to GH 1504 "Freezing Meat, Poultry, Fish, Eggs and Dairy Products" for more complete information.
