What is the best way to freeze stew meat?
Cut into cubes. Stew meat may be browned before
freezing, if desired. Pack browned cubes in meal size
portions in rigid containers. Cover with pan liquid or
broth, leaving one-half inch of headspace. Label and
freeze. Pack un-browned cubes in rigid containers,
freezer bags or sheet wrapping, excluding all air. Label
and freeze.
