If herbs are dried in a microwave oven, can they catch fire?

Drying herbs in a home microwave oven has been questioned due to the effect of such a small load on the magnetron tube. It's possible that such a light load, and the limited moisture of the herbs would not provide enough moisture for correct function of the oven. Follow individual manufacturer's directions; and in addition, place a small container of water in the oven cavity during cooking. Do not use the home microwave for drying large amount of herbs or seeds.
