Some of my paraffin sealed jellies have come unsealed; they are not moldy. What should I do?
If paraffin sealed jellies come unsealed and are not
moldy, cover with tight fitting lids. Refrigerate or
freeze immediately.
Note: Sweet spreads should not be sealed with
paraffin because of the potential for mold growth. Seal
them with two-piece, self-sealing lids and process for 5
minutes in a boiling-water canner below 1,000 feet and
ten minutes if you live above 1,000 feet.
