As an adult, what immunizations do I need?
While we often think of immunization as being a
childhood issue, shots can also help adults stay
healthy. A tetanus booster is recommended every ten
years throughout life. Adults with chronic health
problems and those over 65 should get flu shots every
year and be vaccinated for pneumonia. Anyone traveling
overseas should check with his/her primary care provider
about other recommended immunizations.
