How Do I find a name from a Registered Number?

Manufacturers are required to identify themselves on all apparel items for sale in the United States either by name or by a Registered Numbered (RN).  An RN is issued by the Federal Trade Commission and may be substituted on an apparel item label for the actual name.  To find the information represented by an RN, go to the FTC website:   www.ftc.gov/  Click on "consumers" and "RN Database."  Enter the RN.
