How Do I Get Mildew out of Clothing?

As soon as you find mildew, brush off the spots OUTDOORS. You don't want to spread the spores in the house! Sun and air the fabrics thoroughly.

Dryclean non-washable articles.

Mildew-stained washable articles should be washed immediately in soap or detergent and water. Rinse well and dry in the sun. If any stain remains, use lemon juice and salt or bleach. Be sure to test for colorfastness.
