Everyone I talk to seems to be on the Atkins diet. Could you tell me how it works?
Low carb diets are one example of a low calorie diet. All popular diets ask you to restrict one or more foods or food groups. And it’s usually a food group that your body needs for good health or to prevent diseases like cancer or heart disease. The beginning of a diet like the Atkins diet is mostly water loss or it could be muscle loss. And you don’t want to lose muscle! Instead, if you are concerned about your weight, focus on healthy eating from all the food groups and don’t forget physical activity.
