Could you tell me what are the “good” carbs?


There’s really no such thing as a good carb or a bad carb. There are carbs that are better choices. Whole grain breads and whole grain cereals like oatmeal are better choices because they have the vitamins, minerals and the fiber you need for good health and to ward off certain diseases like cancer and heart disease. Fresh, frozen, or canned fruits and vegetables or 100% fruit juices are better choices than fruit drinks. Unfortunately, many people choose foods like cookies, cakes, doughnuts, and sodas that are not healthy choices because they are high in sugar and fat. And they often choose big portion sizes which contributes even more sugar, fat, and calories to their diet.
