Quick Answers
I'm having problems baking bread. Why does the dough not rise?
If the dough does not rise, it may be due to one of the
following:
- water temperature used for dissolving yeast was too cool or too hot;
- too stiff a dough;
- rising place too cool; or
- old or dead yeast.
