I'm having problems baking bread.  Why is it dry with a coarse grain?

If your homemade bread is dry and has a coarse grain, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

  • too much flour added;
  • dough not kneaded long enough;
  • rising period too long; or
  • the oven temperature was too low.
