I'm trying to lose weight; can you give me some quick and easy tips that will really make a difference?
Here are the top 10 lifestyle changes that will have the greatest impact towards reaching a healthy weight:
1. Make time to exercise.
2. Turn off the television.
3. Eat out less often; when you do, share entrees, take home doggie bags, and resist the urge to supersize.
4. Avoid fast food.
5. Eat more fruits and vegetables, and whole grains.
6. Switch to skim milk.
7. Eat breakfast.
8. Eat slowly.
9. Eat purposefully: at the kitchen or dining room table only, not at the computer, while watching TV or reading.
10. Keep a journal. Get in touch with your emotions. Learn to express how you feel and what you need, rather than using food as a crutch.
