Quick Answers...
My 8-year-old daughter is planning her
birthday party and wants to invite all of the girls in her
class, except for one girl, Felicia, who she doesn't like
very much. How can I handle this situation?
You can help school-age children think about the needs of others and the implications of their behavior for others, for example, "If I don't invite Felicia to my party, she might feel left out." If a school-age child engages in unkind behavior with another child, explain why the behavior is unacceptable and how this behavior makes the other child feel.
